Pickup in Clarkson puts you on the QEW at Southdown Road, then it's a straight run west — past Oakville and Burlington, up over the Burlington Skyway with the harbour laid out below, and on through the vineyard country around St. Catharines to the Niagara exits. It's about 92 km and roughly 70 minutes when the Skyway is clear, though it can bunch up on summer weekends, so an earlier departure keeps the drive smooth. Easy highway driving most of the way, which makes it a good stretch to talk or doze through.
